Autodesk Inventor (Preferably version 10) or AutoCAD, experience in 3D Modeling.  Experience in CATIA, Pro\E, or Solidworks acceptable.

Drawing Automation –
Visual Basic for Applications.

Candidates for this position will be required to demonstrate their skills and knowledge by successfully completing a 3D Modeling test as a part of the interview process. Non-proprietary past work examples will be accepted with your resume and should be forwarded in one of the following formats: Inventor, Step File, DXF, IGES. Print copies of non-proprietary past work examples will also be accepted as a part of the interview process.

Description:
New York Sun Works Center for Sustainable Engineering is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of ecologically sustainable systems for producing food, water, and power. Our signature program, the Science Barge, is a sustainable technology demonstration and education program, launched in May 2007 on the Hudson River in Manhattan. The Science Barge grows tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce with zero net carbon emissions, zero chemical pesticides, and zero runoff.

We are in the development phase of a number of exciting, potentially high-profile new engineering projects, involving the installation of sustainable urban farms on NYC buildings. We are in need of someone to help illustrate these projects graphically. The right person will need to have a good working knowledge of architectural CAD, Revit Architecture or similar 3D modeling and rendering program.
